Oklahoma Wing Encampment 25June - 2 July @ Oklahoma City National Guard Regional Training Institute (RTI) hosted by Norman Composite Squadron. -Encampment POC Capt Russel Davis -Paper copys of your CAPForm 31's need to be filled out immediately if you are planning to attend. -You must have your first stripe by the time encampment starts.
(ps take my advice and go while you are an airmen, dont wait until you are an NCO, please)
more info will follow as it becomes available

You must go to Encampment at least once in your CAP career so I would go ASAP.

If we told you what it was really like you wouldn't go. It will be a living hell the first time no matter what your rank is, but it's not as bad as an airman as it is as a CMSgt. You could technically go your entire CAP career without ever attending an encampment, you just couldn't get your Mitchell or attend any national activities.

Its not great but Its not like Marine Boot Camp or anything. You go sit through some classes and do some PT really early in the morning. Eat food that is less that tasty and chill with people who are less than fun. LOL sounds great dosent it. But it is worth it if you plan on having a complete CAP career.

You and Encampment should be fine then. To you like Heaven. 1. They dont give u MREs its gross cafateria food, 2. PT is done at the - strike that - Before the crack of dawn. If younger girlish like people yelling at you makes you angry then yes, Its would be fun to go for Kicks and Giggles.(FOR U ONLY)

I think the biggest pitfall that people fall into is that they take everything at encampment personally when it isn't. If you in with the mindset that you are going to be yelled at, you are going to do PT, and you are going to be made miserable for a large portion of the time, you will probably not be as miserable as everyone else.
