Hi, I have a few suggestions\questions\suggestions. 1. Since our squadron has a moral leadership class each month, I think there should be a section devoted to moral leadership in this forum. 2. Regarding drill: In our squadron, I have been told to say "As you were, Sergeant" when the flight sergeant gives a command incorrectly. The "Drill and Ceremonies" manual and CAP website say otherwise. Below is a link to the the part of the site containing this information. level2.cap.gov/index.cfm?nodeID=5455Is there a reason that we do it the way we do, or should we start doing it by the manual, or am I just reading this wrong? 3. Practice good spelling and grammar. That means capitalize the first word in sentences and I's. Use periods. Practice makes one better.

Hi, I have a few suggestions\questions\suggestions. 1. Since our squadron has a moral leadership class each month, I think there should be a section devoted to moral leadership in this forum. I have considered it, but don't really think it would get much use. If enough people want one, I will add one. You are correct. This practice has been passed on through many generations of cadets even though it is wrong. The same thing applies to "hitting the wall" for an officer and needing a male and female SM for each activity. None of those things are regulatory; they have just been said so much that people believe it. As unpopular as it might be, I agree with you. Even though we are in a semi private message forum, there is still the slight possiblity that someone could google their way in here. We are all still representing CAP when we post things to this forum. It is also much easier to read something that resembles proper punctuation and grammar.

Thanks for your answers.
Concerning my second question, are we to follow tradition or get back to the book? Personally, I prefer the book.

I am trying to transition back to the book, but it takes a long time to unlearn bad habits. I thing we are finally done with "hitting the wall", so it's time to start on something else. The book is good, I like the book.

Concerning grammar you're dealing with an online forum which even MLA has reconized as having it's own set grammar rules similiar in style to technical shorthand (ie the use of @-means at or as of, etc{spelled et cetera})
