During my time in the CAP in Houston, TX we worked disaster relief and survey and shelter management for the Red Cross during several of the big hurricanes that came through the area. After each event, each member who participated received a certificate from the Red Cross thanking them for their service.
After one mission in which we found an aircraft crashed in a forest, the family of the aircraft owner wrote a nice note to the CAP which was forwarded to the participating squadrons.
People really do appreciate the work CAP does.
By the way, who are you "adrenaline?
