*Keep head, neck, wrists, hands, and ankle covered and warm. These areas have very little body fat and you can loose up to 45% of your body heat from these extremities
*COLD principle
Clean- Keep your cloths clean and comfortable
Overheating- do not get too hot. You will sweat and your cloths will absorb the moisture while your body cools when the water evaporates.
Layers- Layer your clothing. Fleece is the best layer you can have. While layering you can tailor your amount of protection to the specific elements, or your activity. Have a warm coat as an outer layer. It does not have to be BDU. It just needs to be warm. Our BDU pants are not warm enough to wear alone in cold weather. A layer needs to be worn underneath
Dry-Keep your clothing dry to keep warm.
*Have a warm sleeping bag, and partner up in a tent to share the warmth. Excessively large tents are not desirable as they need more heat to keep warm.
*Drink Water- Even though its cold you are still losing water from your body (Breathing, sweating, etc.) Keep drinking water.

Concerning Cold Weather Clothing that Honey posted.... Always be sure to have your a watch cap (not baseball cap) on your head durign the winter especially during the severe cold weather Approximately 60% of your body heat is lost through your head Also it is a good tip to layer up on the clothing during the cold times but not too much if you do youll develop a sweat and sometimes without notice youll develope pneumonia and/or hypothermia well nice to see ya all doin well hope to get back with ya soon
