Here's the latest on cadet conference:


17-19 February @ Tinker AFB!



**I need solid head count by the time I wake up for work Wednesday morning!**



I will also need names of guests to facilitate their entry to the base.



Cost

for both activities is $25. This provides lunch for Sat & Sun as well as the banquet cost. Bring cash for breakfast at the chow hall on Sat & Sun. The banquet cost for guests and those not attending the Conference or CLC is $15.



(Monkey’s soapbox -- UNIT COMMANDERS: Please make 100% contact with all members about this and encourage them to attend the banquet even if they are not attending the courses! Senior Members should come out and show support for the Cadet Programs! We have the biggest ballroom in the club and I’d like to see it filled!! For the Cadet Conference, I KNOW THAT WE HAVE SEEN A SLIGHT DECREASE IN CADET PARTICPATION THROUGHOUT THE WING, take this opportunity to make phone calls to cadets you haven’t seen in a while and invite them out for the Conference and/or the banquet. This could be the thing that brings them back!)



We will have a dance with a DJ after the dinner!! We will also have a slide show presentation; if you have pictures your would like to see in the presentation, please email them to Capt Sugarman ([e-mail]; [e-mail]).



Lodging

for Cadets will be at the 3rd Herd maintenance bay (same place they used for the Tinker SAREX). They will have access to showers and be provided cots. Senior members are on their own as far as lodging goes; they are welcome to stay in the same place as the Cadets if they so choose.



Uniforms

for cadets will be BDUs Friday/Saturday. Blues Sunday. The banquet will be Service Dress (commonly and incorrectly called “Class-A”). Those without Service Dress may wear equivalent civilian attire (or corporate attire for the Senior Members). Females may wear thingytail dresses. For Seniors at the CLC, any CAP uniform.



Unit Commanders, if you major awards you would like to have presented, please let me know. This is an opportunity to take care of your cadets!

You will be leaving on Saturday morning at 5:45. As far as the other questions go, every tid bit of info that Wing has sent is above. IMHO they have done a lousy job of planning and preparation for the last few activities they have done. I am very disappointed with the information we have been given.

Change of plans due to weather. The van will be leaving Friday night around 1830-1900. The only person I know of that has not been contacted because we don't have a phone number for him is Jordan Erler. Can someone call him that has his number?
