What is the bypass ratio of the GE F110 turbo fan used in the F-16 C/D; and what is the pressure ratio of the third stage of the compressor?

I believe it is h~372x - 24y^4 But im a bit rusty so um my rough calculations say 3 Mx + (27)

ok here's the scoop the whole inlet scoop. The bypass ratio for the P&W F100 and the GE F110 are both about 1.5:1 bypass ratio. It is a low bypass engine. There is no third stage compressor, only a low and high. The Pratt and Worthless has a total of 13 stages of compression. 3 in the fan module and ten in the core module. the total compression ratio is about 30:1
the formula for figuring the thrust for a turbine engine is F=MA (F= force, M= mass, A=acceleration) to calculate force is F=(Ms(V2-V1))/g Ms=mass airflow through the engine (pronounced "M" sub "s" V2=air velocity at exhaust V1=forward velocity of engine g=acceleration of gravity, 32.2ft/sec squared (or 9.8 meters per second squared F=force which is also the engines thrust in pounds remember is one variable is in metric all of them must be
and after the block 25 production run (all previous blocks were pratt and whitney) block 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's are GE. block 32's, 42's, 52's, and 62's are pratt and wothless
enjoy

you know that was a pretty good guess for someone who is that dense. But your questioning my abilities has inspired me to come up with a very good aerospace class. your friends will love you for it I guarantee

I expected that he would either know the answer or know someone who could tell him. I already knew the answer, this was just a test for the new AEO.

you doubt me, that's not funny just because i don't have a degree doesn't mean i am stupid. just an under achiever. it is a prime requisite for being a crew chief.

Quiz-type question for other cadets:
What do CTOL, VTOL, and STOVL mean in relation to aircraft?
Don't answer in this topic. Look for instructions in the "Pop Quiz" topic (still under "Anything Aerospace").
