Ive got a pistol belt, butt pack, suspenders, and small/medium ruck for 35 dollars. Belt, pack, and ruck are all black heavy canvas not the cheap nylon. Suspenders are H-style instead of Y-style and are green.
I'm selling them because I've got a different set and I no longer need them any more it's a great starter set and it follows the Smaller Lighter Faster principle I teach If interested post a reply or just catch me at squadron I'll have it with me on tuesday

How big is your gear? I was thinking about getting this stuff from Sammons, but if you want smaller gear we might be able to work out something. I don't mind a larger pack too much. You've seen all the gear I've ever carried, I just need something else to meet the regs.

with my stuff the ruck comes off easily so it can transition from UDF to 72 hour gear (48 comfortably 72 realistically if you know how to pack) and with the pistol belt you can attach anything to it.
With the H straps you can take off the ruck and attach a camelback by using the d-rings on the camelbak and the shoulder clips

well I'm selling mine for $35 that's belt, suspenders, butt pack, and small ruck. I got a more exspensive set.
walmart has some backpacks in the camping section that are hydration compatable for about 20 bucks one was even a waist pack for joggers and cyclist that I'm thinking about getting for flight line
your sporting goods stores have hiking packs commonly known as "day packs" (24-hour gear) they look like back packs except they have cushions in the back some have a waist belt and some also are hydration compatable
IF you want the military look and feel and it is fairly reasonable the army surplus store on 38th and memorial has about everything you need

preferable and just a side note pushing planes in the heat has it's advantages 1) when pilots pull into my flightline i'm the boss 2) the cool pilots ie non-CAP ones will sometimes show you around there airplanes while your out there taking care of their birds I've been inside deveral combat jets, gotten tours of warbirds that the pilot would only give myself and the 2 cadets I had with me I'm talking like A-1E skyraiders and corsairs. I've a crew cheif on a Canadian EP-3 showed me and price how to start up the Orion. on the bigger birds they typically have a loadmaster/crew cheif and their usually pretty friendly towards ground handlers. at one airshow I crewed an autogyro and the pilot showed me how the autogyro worked and all the functional components that make it fly. That's one reason Cdt thompson is always out there with me. so pound hot asphalt does have it's perks besides you work for me and no one else because I work for the AOBD so our COC is fairly concise
