Are there any current squadron restrictions on who can do CG? We have to get more people doing this. I don't even do it and I feel a little overwhelmed at the number of dates that have been requested recently. In order to get more people we have to decide who is and is not eligible to participate.

I think it always been that if your uniform was ready and you were free that day and had the right experance and practice then you were on the color guard that day.
i think next tuesday we should start training more cadets to do this maybe have some do color guard during the first 30 min. of the drill time we have set up

-be a cadet -conform to the 39-1(even the honor guard manual for when we are not doing the the tomb) -have some working knowledge of D&C -be willing to learn and try new things
two suggestions though would be to have a rifle team and do your changing of the guard ceremony or even just the inspection would be cool and then a flag detail to fold flags like at a funeral service and anything else thats innovative and interesting to the 'guard

I know what the national requirements are. I just need to know if there is a set of squadron level SOPs that we are supposed to follow. If there is not, we need to make a set. It needs to specify what we require locally to participate, which presently consists of a uniform with a stripe on the collar and a heartbeat. We also need to establish a second chain of command for CG activities to make communication more direct and efficient. It isn't too bad now because Chief Lipats is on the CG, but if we ever had a CC that wasn't a CG member they are just an unnecessary hindrance to comm.

a seperate chain of command would be nice
but usually the same 4 people always do it

But when we have a bunch of people doing it we will have to improve communication.
