Since I made the thread Ill go first. I actually have a life other than CAP My job is teaching fencing (with swords not with boards) to young annoying children. At one time I fenced competitions and was actually good enough to go to the Junior Olympics. I also am in a band called Self Portrait I play rhythm guitar. I am an active halo player in my community (jk) and I try and play video games as much as I can. I am 15 and am finishing my first semester in college at TCC. When I get out of college I'm hoping to go into Law Enforcement and eventually SWAT team. I have a large dog I call the beast (actually named Angel) that is comprable in size to the Sandlot Dog. I have been in CAP for just a little over 2 years and am a 1st Lt. My favorite band is Roper (The lead singer is from Five Iron Frenzy) So thats me. In case your wondering why people call me BATMAN its because of my narley belt buckle and the fact that I saved the world that one time.

My first post here! I was a cadet member and former cadet commander of the Ellington Composite Squadron, TX-098 in Houston, TX from 1978 - 1986 and obtained the grade of C/1Lt. before moving to the Tulsa area. I was a net control station for the Houston area VHF nets and an alternate HF net control station for Texas wing. I was a member of the old Broken Arrow Squadron in 1987 for one year only. I rejoined CAP here in May of 2005. I have been a Ham radio operator (callsign KA5OWI) since 1982 and currently hold an Extra Class license. I also have a FCC General Radiotelephone License (Commercial radio license). I hold an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics License and have been employed by American Airlines since April of 1986. I am an avionics technician currently working on the Boeing 757 fleet. I've been married nearly 20 years and we have 2 kids, Chris, 14 and Kendall, 10.

I am a mechanic and lifetime student. I am now the squadrons acting AEO. I eventually hope to have a PhD in a certain field of physics. Until then I pass the time by trying to see how many stupid things I can do and survive to see the next day. As well as torment people and things on this earth. I prefer people they can respond goading me on to new heights of malicious thinking .
now just two things of advice
for ground teams: never eat prunes when you are famished
and for everyone else: friends come and go, but enemies accumulate

Bravo Flight sgt I am a junior at Owasso High School and play football. CAP is my life during the weekends, usualy waking up at some strangely odd hour of the moring. I expect to solo by the end of the year, and get my private soon after (sorry to those who don't prefer pilots) Other than that I am a very competitive person, i enjoy a good challenge and take pride in my work and all that I do. If it involves adrenaline I probably have done, do it, or are going to do it in the near future. And I think that people in general are stupid

By popular demand I am adding the following to my previous statement that I like to blow things up.
I joined CAP as a cadet in September of 1990 at Stillwater Composite Squadron. At that time the cadet protection policy was basically non existent. We were physically, verbally, and emotionally abused on a regular basis according to the modern version of the CCP. This abuse made the strong stronger and weeded out all the non-hackers that didn't pack the gear to participate. But I digress..... I worked my way through the cadet program and was able to earn the Earhart Award and eventually was promoted to c/maj before being forced at gun point to leave the cadet program and become a SM when I turned 21. I probably would have been a Spaatz Cadet if there hadn't been significant changes to the program around that time and a significant paperwork snafu. During my cadet career I held most positions at Stillwater and served as Cadet Commander from 1995-1997. I was a member of two Wing champion cadet competition teams, and helped train the first ever National Champion Color Guard.
In 1994 I received nominations to the United States Air Force and Naval Academies.
I became a SM in 1997 and was poofed directly to the rank of 1Lt upon completion of Level 1 due to my cadet achievements. I did alot of stuff in Stillwater, but won't bore you with the details because it's all SM crap. I did somehow manage to win the squadron safety award one year, which is really scary if you think about it. In 1998 I was awarded two Commander's Commendations and was selected as Oklahoma Wing Senior Member of the Year. Somewhere along the way I got a private pilot certificate and hope to someday get enough hours to be an O-ride pilot so we don't have to coordinate with 38 people to get o-rides done.
In May of 2000 I graduated from the Oklahoma State University School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and received a Bachelor of Science degree. While at OSU I did lots of cool stuff. My senior year I participated with about 15 other students in the AIAA Design, Build and Fly Competition. My team finished in 2nd place in this international competition. Our aircraft was the best by far, but our written report stunk bad enough to cost us the victory. Oh well, our plane was the best and everyone knew it.
After graduation, I transferred to Wing HQ and was the OK Wing Transportation Officer for 2 years. I eventually stepped down because certain members of Wing Staff refused to let me do my job. After that I took some time off from CAP.
My triumphant return occured in February of this year. In May I accepted the position of Supreme Commander of the Cadet Program. Somehow the abbreviation for this is DCC. Haven't figured that one out yet. I do my best not to let the program eat itself, but often wonder if I'm succeeding or not.
In my free time away from CAP I like to blow things up.
I'm supposed to say more than that, so here's more. I enjoy sports, aviation, and submarine warfare novels. To broaden the spectrum I would like to add that I will probably like anything that goes fast, makes fire, or smashes something else. I go to great lengths to ensure that the grandness of my Halloween decorations is unthreatened by any other home in the neighborhood of refrigerator boxes I live in. My favorite color is blue, my favorite food is pizza. I can't specify a particular favorite aircraft, but I can pick a favorite from various theaters of combat. WWI, Fokker DRI; WWII, P-38 Lightning; Korea, F-86 Sabre; Vietnam, F-105. I do not have a favorite civilian aircraft because there is no such thing as a civilian aircraft; they are all weapons of destruction or have that potential. I have a rather large collection of Richard Petty memoribilia and am developing a rather large collection of die cast aircraft.
I've been married a whole week. We don't have kids, we have vehicles. A 2000 Camaro SS convertible and a 2001 Ford Lightning, both special ordered and waited on for many months. Don't touch either of them without authorization. That would be bad.
I currently work as an auto mechanic and am an ASE Certified Master Technician.

Hello everybody! Well, right now I am the newest member to this forum. I have been a CAP member for just a few months now. A quick explanation of my user name: Mad: These are my initials (as well as the initials of both my younger brothers). Math: Obviously, it sounds like the first syllable of my name. Also, math is the subject in which I do best. I played basketball for three consecutive seasons and before that I played a season of soccer. I never won a single game. My family has had numerous pets (cat, dogs, ducks, lizard, frog, hamster), but right now we only have chickens. And the chickens that we don't keep for eggs won't be around long either. I have quite a bit of experience with computers, but I am convinced that computers are evil. They complicate life. I play piano, trumpet, and guitar. I enjoy reading and writing fiction. At my current rate of writing, I should finish my first novel by age 44. I have already written about four short stories. Any questions?
