Lots of uniform changes effective immediately

Check www.cap.gov for details. There is a link in the lower right corner of the page that leads to the policy letter. Most changes are only for SM's, but there are some for cadets also. They are effective immediately, but I doubt you'll be leaned on too hard if it takes you a few weeks to comply.

I called Member Services this afternoon. This new uniform is in addition to the current CAP Distinctive uniforms. The other combinations are still legal. They may at a later date move to this new uniform. The new leather jacket looks good. I may have to find one.

I was wondering if the old styles would still be authorized. It seemed silly to make you wear AF slacks with the aviator shirt. If you're going to wear those stupid slacks you might as well wear a blues uniform.

There is going to be nothing that says we are civil air patrol on the uniforms anymore LOL. beside the name plate (which will be exscluded form honor guard) so there is seriously nothing on the uniform that says what we are. Somebody is up there thinking at wing.

Yes but if you were a complete stranger who had never heard about civil air patrol. Would u walk up to me and say hey your in the civil air patrol.....no because it doesnt say Civil Air Patrol on it.
