This came in from Wing today. We will be planning a similar event in the (hopefully) near future that will cover all three phases of the rocketry program so you will get your badge. If you are interested in this contact me through channels.
The Cadet Advisory Council is proud to announce the first Aerospace/ O-Ride
weekend. It will be April 21-23, 2006 at the Max Westheimer Airport in Norman.
The activities will commence Friday night at 6:30pm and end Sunday afternoon.
Friday evening will be check in, confirmation of paper work and fun activities.
(ex. movies, games) Saturday there will be O-Rides, AEX activities, part one of
the Model Rocketry Program, and Laser Tag in the evening for all who are
interested.
The Participation Letters are due April 14, 2006. Please use Participation
Letter format included.
This activity is for everyone!! All Cadets and Seniors are encouraged to attend.
Please note if a cadet is not eligible for O-Rides (cadets over 18 or cadets who
have already used all of their 5 front seat rides) there will still be plenty of
activities to participate in.
Seniors are welcome to come and attend for fun!! Seniors are also encouraged to
volunteer to help facilitate aerospace activities. O-Ride pilots are also (A
Mission Safety Officer will also be in use.).
Squadrons please be advised that each cadet participating will need their CAPID,
a form 9, and their CAPP 52-7 Attachment 2.
Cost: $30 includes Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner Saturday; Breakfast & Lunch on
Sunday; Two Laser Tag Games on Saturday Night (there will be a price reduction
for meals not eaten or games not played) Breakfast will consist of McConnell’s
famous pancakes and sausage, Lunch will be brown bags, and dinner will be CiCi’s
Pizza.
There is no Cost for the O-Rides that cost will be coming out of the Wing’s
O-Ride Budget. This will be an otherwise unfunded event so the van’s gas cost
will not be covered.
We invite all Civil Air Patrol members to participate in the various activities.
This is a wonderful opportunity for both our cadets and our seniors.
Questions may be addressed to C/Capt. Dana Keller: Peridot20.dana@cimtel.net or
Capt. Alexandra (Xan) Bryant: alexandra_bryant@yahoo.com
Please send all participation letters to Capt. Bryant
