1. No name plates ( The guard is to be thought of as one. Nothing differs from one guard to a next except rank and ribbons)
2. (maybe) Shoes with taps (Helpful to count steps)
3. (Pretty Sure) New Rubber Mat to lay on top of track (If we do this make sure its right size someone said its two sets of 21 steps but its only one the official track is only 1 set of 21 steps)
4. (maybe) Guarding 24hrs a day (Some would say this is rediculous that no one would be out there to watch, To the guard it does not matter)
5. (Pretty Sure) A different ceremony such as wreath laying.
6. (For Sure) A lot more time and dedication and most of all precision of the 2006 Guard
7. (probably not) A tab (patch) that says honor guard to go on the right shoulder.
If I have forgotten anything else please post to make me aware of it.

1. How much does it cost? Answer - Time, sweat. (Money Wise) making your uniform look good comes out of your pocket. And U will make your uniform look good!!! 2. Practices will be held at a location TBD (To Be Determined) , Actual Ceremony - Floral Haven Cermetery in Broken Arrow 3. To Practices not official transportation, You might find someone who lives near u and see if they will give you a ride....BTW Hey hake you mind carting me to practices. LOL 4. Practices will be held once a week in Feb. twice a week in March and April and 3 times a week in May. Each practice will be at least two hours long. 5. Each sentinel will be on a 30 min shift in the day, at night if we do it 24hrs, the nights shift will be probably hr long shift. 6. Yes. This is nothing comprable to squadron drill. At the first Honor Guard practice we will tell you to forget normal drill. This takes time. Lots of it. If your not willing to drop some other hobbies for it this probably isnt for you.

Here are a few things that we know up front will cost a little money:
1. Uniform items. How much they will cost depends on how complete your class A's are already.
2. A haircut immediately before we start ceremonies.
3. Rifle qualification. I think this will be about $40-50. It kinda depends on how much ammo you need to qualify.

How do cadets sign up for Rifle qualification? Do we provide our own ammo or simply pay for what is used? Are there any Class A jackets left at Squadron for male cadets or do we need to get from our own source?
Many thanks for your commitment to this outstanding program!

1. Um Maj Cavett will have to answer the first question. 2. I believe you will just pay for the ammo used, Due to the fact that we will be shooting M-1s which require a little bit different shell than a plain 30-6 3. Right Now we are out of Mens Class A jackets, We are still trying to find some one to donate them or we may go to Tinker and purchase some. I personally got most of my uniform stuff at the Army Surplus but that way cost money the benefit is it will be most likely a better fit.

We are still working on details of the rifle qualification. Red Castle offers a basic rifle course and a Jr. Marksmanship program. I am trying to work out a deal with them to have a private course for us. If they won't do that we'll just have to attend one of their normal classes. You will just pay for the ammo you use. You can do the basic qualification with a .22, but will have to demonstrate competency with the M1. I am not requiring the entire qualification to be with the M1 due to cost. The ammo is about 30 cents/rd vs. .22 at pennies per round.
