Dont worry about that we will get haircuts the day before Memorial Day Weekend. You dont want to have to much hair when your picking up flags at 3 Oclock in the mourning in the rain. Then when the rain stops the sprinkler system turns on. (Ask for details on that story) lol

O two years ago. Saturday night of Memorial Day Weekend there came a great storm. Well Floral Haven was flying there 500 some odd flags. Well this storm blew down a lot of flags. Well it decided to do this about 2-3 o clock in the morning, so We got called out. We couldnt let old glory lay upon the ground so we worked for hours finding all the flags and rehitching them to their posts. It was cold and wet. It would drizzle and then stop. Once it stopped we ( myself, Jared, and one of the Rupert sisters were working on this really tuff ( stuck ) flag pole. Well we were just about to dry out from the drizzle and the sprinkler system (which happened to be mere feet away) Turn on for some gay reason and shot all of us soaking us to the bone. Now we were cold and drenched, But we still worked until we fixed them all. Then got up bright and early next morning to stand and guard the tomb.

a suggestion would be to also memorize the code of conduct and be able to recite it. 1)I am an american. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense 2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist. 3)If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy. 4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information nor take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way. 5)When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful totheir cause. 6)I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT I AM AN AMERICAN FIGHTING MAN, RESPONSIBLE FOR MY ACTIONS, AND DEDICATED TO THE PRINCIPLES WHICH MADE MY COUNTRY FREE. I WILL TRUST IN MY GOD AND IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
just a suggestion though you might make a contest to see who can remember the most i dunno.

you know I forgot all of the code of conduct. but then thats why I joined the Air Force. to stay miles away from the front. like in a neighboring country. I like my swimming pools, burger king, BX, etc. but then again if i am ever on an airbase being overrun I will be the last person getting a gun handed to me. my job is to launch out my airplane so it can turn around and bomb the airfield into a pulp. kinda morbid but at least you'll be red mist before it hurts.

The white stripes are pretty much forbidden per the regs. We can't use anything that even resembles a USAF HG uniform item on any of our uniform combinations. Then in the next line they tell you a bunch of items that you must have. Go figure.

I seem to remeber that wing wouldnt forward our commanders commedations because they didnt think our efforts merited it one year...We cant use the ceremony in any CAP competition what would it matter if the uniform has modified so that the people we are doing it for (ie the veterans) feel the respect from the time that we spend on our uniforms. if its going to impress them then why not

AMEN Reverand u preach it brother. (WARNING WESTONS SPEECH) If we arnt going to get reconized for what we do, then I say dang the torpedos lets do it the best we can because we arnt trying to impress wing. We do this for the Veterans! To Honor them and those who have fallen. Our reward is the pride we get from doing it. We are the elite the men and women who refuse to be average who refuse to walk the beaten path. And I say We will not go quietly into the night, We will not surrender with out a fight, and we have loaded rifles so wing go fly a kite!!!!!!!
