do you know what... how come national can write the regs for us about Honor Guard when we are the only squardon who can do it? I say that we(the ones who can do HG) write the regs on HG, and that is what I think. like it or leave it.

Any squadron can have an Honor Guard, that is not something that only we are authorized to do. Honor Guard is an extension of the old Color Guard program. We actually do not even have an Honor Guard program at Starbase, but that is what we call our activities for lack of a better name. We are the only unit authorized to perform a reenactment of the Changing of the Guard.

Ok so look at it this way... We dont have a Wing Patch on our shoulder, nor will we have the name plate recognizing us as Civil Air Patrol. There is nothing that says we are CAP so why the heck do we have to follow regs. We dont look like Civil Air Patrol, We dont act like Civil Air Patrol so why do we have to follow the regs of Civil Air Patrol.

We need to come up with a new name for what who we are like: The Guard, Tomb Guard, Third and a half infintry, lol I like the last one. Um maybe like Respect Guard, integrity guard, Honor Guard 2, or something like that. Any other ideas From THe Honor Guard

No it wasnt. we havent had the new tryouts yet. BTW this forum is for honor guard so post color guard stuff in color guard forum.

I thought the team was already picked for this year. Doh! Maj. Wyatt and I agree that the white stripes are not possible. He has no problem with anything else, including the Guard Sergeant carrying a sidearm.

Well I want the white stripes so I told him to go to the Wing Commander at the SAR-EX and tell him when the train leaves if you get what im saying. I doubt he will tell him what for but he did say he would ask. Yo Daniels when your down there makes sure that you ask Major Wyatt if hes talked to the wing commander about the stripes yet. (thats a order kinda) write it down just make sure he goes and talks to the wing commander.
